NBC Universal covering the Olympics for 291 hours every day

Here's the NBC press release: http://www.nbcumv.com/mediavillage/...s/2012/05/23/nbcuniversaltop1337792227256.xml

I doubt many here will watch but it's still interesting to note the effect that 21st Century technology and culture has had on one of the more stodgy corporations in American business. They were dragged kicking and screaming into promising streaming for all events and, even then, there are some caveats. Wait until 2016 and they may no longer "stem the tide".

Olympics coverage has certainly come a long way from where it was twenty years ago... "Olympics Triplecast," anyone? ::)

I know Universal Sports went to cable and satellite only on New Year's Day. How different would they be compared to NBC SportsChannel in terms of coverage? Here in Hartford/New Haven, they used be available via WVIT-TV 30-3 of New Britain/Hartford. My TV's QAM tuner still tunes the channel but only shows a black screen (limited basic cable with no converter).
