NBC "White" Network

In the early days, NBC had the Red and Blue networks east of the Rockies, and the Orange and Gold networks out of the west coast. There are some fascinating stories out there about how they made it all work with 20's and 30's technology.

I was reading on Wikipedia about the above, and there was a brief mention of a NBC White network being on shortwave. Does anyone know anything else about it?

According Barry Mishkind ("The Eclectic Engineer") on his website (http://oldradio.com), The NBC White Network or "The Watchtower Network" operated between the 1920's & 30's and broadcast predominantly religious programs. Operations for the White Network were eventually absorbed into the Red and Blue Networks with their "sustaining" programs which were aired on both NBC's main networks.
