NBC10's Loss --- CBS3's Gain.....ABC6 still the choice.

While visiting this Holiday Season I noticed family members who were long time viewers of the 4pm NBC10 news are now watching the CBS3 4pm news. They stated the new show on NBC10 was filled with boring stuff they have seen many times in the past. Any one else notice this migration over to CBS3 @ 4pm?

But.............Action News still rules. It is weird it is like everyone is brainwashed, at 5pm the TVs are immediatly flipped to Ch. 6. I also prefer Action News over the rest....especially @ 5am (even the few minutes they are on before 5am...it is funny to watch...half the time they are not ready..hooking up/fixing their mics, hair, clothes on camera in a hurry & joking around)

A few family members is hardly a trend. In the most recent sweeps 3 and 10 are running neck and neck. The biggest factor in any change is channel 3 hiring away channel 10's main news reader. Another big factor is the performance of lead-ins (syndicated shows or prime-time network shows); even with remotes, people still don't seem to like to change channels.

WPVI was tops at 5:00 p.m. before Oprah became a talk show host.

By the way, WPVI is not branded as ABC 6. ABC 6 is in Providence, Rhode Island (WLNE--Freedom) and Columbus, Ohio (WSYX--Sinclair).

Over at KYW, Larry Mendte puts me to sleep. He tries to be dramatic, and it just doesn't work.
