NBCLX - A new DigiNet Launched Today in 43 Markets

Debuting with the tag line "Every Story Is Local"; It's being placed as the third channel on The NBC O&O's. The target audience, according to the press release, are miilennials and Gen-Z'ers. It's available free online as well, with dedicated channels/apps on most streaming devices.

Yep, it actually went live in most markets May 15th, but started doing live newscasts today.
 
Looks very much like it is going after the social media market. Clips with music, no narration, big graphics and facts like yahoo news clips. Reporters focus on celebrity news. Sets that look like a modern loft, and audio that is clear but not studio perfect.

In short, a social media wedsite for TV. A good idea if it gains traction for younger demos.

It was originally supposed to be an Internet stream only. A few months ago they decided to put it on the TV stations as another diginet.
