NBC's Carson Daily's "later" show with rock group Morningwood

The group Morningwood appeared on a rerun of Later on NBC this morning to sing Take off your clothes. I thought a portion of the segment was a little to hot to be aired on NBC even thought it was during the period of 10 PM-6 AM EDT when indecent stuff can air. The female singer of the group took a girl up on stage, she was touching her, licking her and then took the girl’s shirt off. Thank goodness there was a bra there. The singer also put her microphone in between the girl’s bra. I thought the singer was acting kind of wild. If you saw this on Later this morning, what are you thoughts on this? Here is the video that I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ze3RXathoPk

Why don't you e-mail NBC and complain, then they will add it to the rest of your e-mails which get placed into the crank file, like all your e-mails to the Philadelphia TV stations. This was not offensive and if this was a European country or some other nation that wasn't filled with uptight religio-facists there would be nudity. It is a non-issue.

In the meantime you really need to Spiro Agnew! Unless your disabilty is that you never did Spiro Agnew.

Ok. I just wanted to bring this to your attention, I thought it was but it was not offensive.

Why did you want to bring this non-event to our attention?
And yes you really do need to Spiro Agnew.

I thought this was indecent to be on TV but it was not.

I am a fan of many risque programs that push the boundaries of good taste. South Park , Jackass and Family Guy are some of my favorite shows.

I was watching this particular episode of Carson Daly's show and thought it was too much for broadcast television at any time. Had it been on cable, particularly something like HBO, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. It's a matter of context. I did the one thing that NBC hates the most: I turned to another channel. Choice is a marvelous thing. If you don't like a show, you can change the channel. That said, I don't believe (as some have expressed) that nudity should be permitted on broadcast television in this country. I think networks would be wise to not have incidents like the one I saw last night air on their stations at any time of the broadcast day.

What I have a real problem with are the people here complaining about the guy who posted the first comment in this thread. He's entitled to express his opinion. Others here seem to believe he is not. The facists in this country are on the left, not the right.

Go read the thread about the "i" network. There you have a private company choosing restraint of their own volition, and they're ripped for it. It's been my experience that many who pride themselves in being tolerant are among the most intolerant, and those who claim to be broad-minded are instead narrow-minded.

I'm surprised NBC didn't raise an eyebrow over the band's name itself. :)

So do you think it was indecent or not indecent or do you as always have no thoughts?

This is not the first incident on his show. A couple of years ago, magician David Blane, who had cut a hole in his chest prior to the show, took his beating heart out of his body. People in the audience had to go to the hospital because they got so sick. And yet NBC aired it.

I don't think this will violate FCC rules, but I saw the clip, and I thought it was disgusting. That person either was a paid actress or volunteered to participate in this degrading act. I hope they throw that microphone in the garbage can.

first off, the david blane stunt was not real, if wan all an act, think about it..if he really did pull his heart out, he'd be dead....

2nd, if you think the band's perforance was risque, you need to pull the corncob out of your rectum, look at primetime and what it gets away with...
