NBC's "Football Night in America"

I caught the opening sequence of the Steeler/Bronco game, and was wondering who was singing the Joan Jett cover/them song?

Faith Hill, maybe?

Indeed--that's the lovely Faith Hill, making up for last year's intro by Pink.

Even if I have no interest in the game (this week I do, as a Steelers fan), I tune in at 8:15 just to see her do her thing.

With all due respect, I'm curious as to why Joan Jett herself isn't performing it.

Even Hank Jr. performs his own song on ESPN/ABC.

Faith Hill was signed by NBC (with the NFL's approval) to do all of the Sunday Night Football musical openings, just as Pink was last year.
