Is the building at Taylor and O'Farrell still standing and, if so, being used for radio?

After being vacated by NBC, 420 Taylor Street became the home of KBHK (Channel 44) back in 1968. It is currently the headquarters of ABM Industries, which describes itself as "one of the largest facility services contractors listed on the New York Stock Exchange." ABM operates large-scale janitorial, parking and security services for cities and businesses.

KPO (now KNBR) and KGO moved into San Francisco's version of NBC Radio City on April 26, 1942. KNBR moved out of the facility in April 1967; KGO had moved out in 1944 after NBC sold its Blue Network (which became ABC).

John Schneider has an excellent photograph of the building here. The building still has a distinctive look, although the "NBC - KPO - KGO" markings are long gone. A nostalgic tour of the facility in its radio heyday can be found at http://users.adams.net/~jfs/radcity.htm.

In 1978 I went inside with me wheelchair and it looked like an old movie house, because it had those glass cases on the walls with posters of TV shows Kaiser Broadcasting had. The lobby was empty. I assume the studios were upstairs. There wern't any door except the front door which I exited.
