NBCU to get 13 Telemundo affiliates

Does this mean WRIW 50.1 gets an signal booster on par with WJAR 10.1?
That depends on whether WJAR would be willing to host WRIW on its spectrum. Otherwise, Comcast/NBC would have to look elsewhere in the market, and with WLWC's spectrum gone and WPXQ's spectrum already full.....that doesn't leave too many options left.

Here is an update on the Telemundo Deal.

The Telemundo Group announced it has completed the acquisition of all nine ZGS Communications stations in six markets, expanding the group’s market footprint to 24.

“Our Telemundo stations have experienced tremendous growth in the past few years thanks to the exceptional work and journalism delivered by our Telemundo station colleagues, which has resulted in revolutionizing the way Spanish-speaking audiences receive their local news,” said Valari Staab, president of NBCUniversal owned stations

It looks like the low-power Telemundo station in Hartford is included. I think it was last on channel 50. During the analog days, the station was known as W13BF, low-power channel 13. This market is presently home to WUVN-TV channel 18 of Hartford, a full-power Univision affiliate.
