NCAA Basketball tournament & local radio

It seems that some games are being aired on 1220 AM. I presume this is a brokered situation. Still, wouldn't it be in the best interest of both the broadcaster/buyer and WKNR to have the games on the actual sports station? Maybe WKNR has other contractual obligations.

Personally, I'd rather have the games on 1220 than on internet station "KNR2." At least 1220 can be heard beyond the Cleveland city limits.

Aside from their obligation to air the Akron Zips earlier today, WARF/1350 has been very consistent with the scheduling of games.

1220 (and sister station 1420) are the home of CSU hoops (which are now currently in the NIT Tournament)

1420 is the Cleveland affiliate for U of Akron sports, so maybe they moved the hoops game over to 1220

I know 1540 has been airing the daytime NCAA Tournament games (so as not to disturb Rizzo and Rome on 850)

And of course 850 is the C-town home of the Buckeyes, so they get priority over everything else.
