NE Georgia employment info

I am looking for information regarding the job market in NE Georgia. I am from upstate NY and hoping to move to Georgia by summer 2010. I have worked in radio for over 10 years. Moving from traffic manager/sales assistance to IT/operations manager.

Any assistance, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just moved from northeast Georgia. Radio jobs are pretty much non-existent. People have usually been there 20 years and aren't leaving or if there is an opening, it's 7.50 an hour if you're lucky. The consolidation and compression in the industry as a whole is very much in play in that region.

Don't be phased by the gloom and doomers darling. If I was you I'd definately look into Cox Broadcasting. They are the best company to work for and they have plenty of station in Northern Georgia and Atlanta.
