Near F-Bomb On WCBS-AM

This is as close to an "F-bomb" as you can get on one of the most successful news radio stations in the country.

Today, in the 5 PM hour, WCBS-AM's Wayne Cabot, reading thunderstorm warning updates, mentions a thunderstorm in Garden City going eastward, and he was trying to say that it would affect both Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. Only he initially got Long Island's Suffolk County confused with New Jersey's Sussex County.

So he decided to stress the second syllable of the word "Suffolk." No, I'm not crying "FCC fine," as the context was clearly decent. But hearing him during this particular moment is an interesting listen.

Listen to the clip here.

Caught that in the live stream, lol.

I would like to see weather radio screw up like that one day.
