This gives KFWhyEye a two hour head start on talk against KT'R, which recently increased their morning news to 9am. A tip of the fez to Nurse Jeff for reminding me 92~Three has had a three year lead on moving to FM.

But back to topic: isn't this the second go round for TNBO in AMD? Even with the self prescribed meds, Nurse Jeff and I recall hearing him years ago doing mornings on 9~Ten.
But he's still not on FM!
Dr., you are correct. I also recall a longer shift for him in the past. I think he must be fickle...
I think KFYI was in a bad spot: they want to leave the schedule the same and not have it change every six months during Daylight Savings Time. I agree with their choice because, like my favorite Preston Westmoreland topic "Does Arizona Need To Use DST?," it will cause confusion in order to keep Rush Limbaugh live during the Summer.

Great news, but please, less of the bored housewife, and more of actual talk on the show.
I'm out of the country, and guess what? You can't stream KFYI out of the country, which really sucks, so, late at night and I can't get to sleep, I can listen to KTAR in the mornings.....

As Nurse Jeff and I've said for the past three years, KFWhyEye can rearrange the deck chairs, but the Titanic known as Ancient Modulation is slipping further into it's icy grave. None of this matters until they're on FM.
For those who don't go back into KFYI's musty history, Barry did in fact helm AM drive back in the day. He worked 5 - 9 AM for a number of years. Lemme tell ya, trying to gin up callers at 5 AM was difficult and BY had to really exercise his abilities to hold an audience. Uncle Fred Weber put BY in early midday when Bill Heywood became available and Fred created a morning news block at KFYI, which, despite Bill's tremendous name i.d. and talent, never took off.

I seem to recall legal issues with the moniker of "Dr. Science", he had a book out and had to change the name to something non- sue-able like Mr. Dr. Science.
