I missed her when she went from KRLD - I forgot the satellite radio one morning and was browsing through the AM channels and heard her doing news- is her new gig at WBAP permanent or what?

OK so Carla's at WBAP now. Since she did such a straight news thing at KRLD with no humor or anything,is that why she hired at WBAP? Moving away from Hals' humor into a 4 hr newscast in the mornings? So will the noon news cast come back now too? I am seeing a weird pattern here thats adding up into something thats gonna piss a LOT of people off if it happened. Its either someone with an agenda behind this or Sh#tadell is trying to find a blameless way to run off Hal to save some $$$$$. That would SUCK. If what you people say is true that WBAP is the only station in the co. that's making a profit and is covering for all the other stations in the chain, why?? mess?? with?? it?? The way they through Bill Kinder out the door at Big 96-3 after all that time, who know's. It's a SUCK-A$$ way to do business and a big kick-in the crotch. It ain't gold watchs and awards and pat's on the back anymore for years' of good service, its we're escorting you out the building and will mail you your things. Evertime I read another story about that stuff it just makes me f***king sick.

Between the alleged conspiracy theory newscasts, improper comma usage, and words spelled incorrectly, your attempt at making a point is totally lost. I think you were on to something by waiting so long to comment on this board. Maybe you should go back to that (since you are so against "change"). You gripe about people being fired, yet you miss the point that WBAP just "hired" a seasoned journalist that KRLD "fired".
Looks like CBS is doing an excellent job at furnishing Citadel with some of their most competent ex-talent.. i.e. Debbie Diaz and Carla Marion. Gail Lightfoot, too, (although formerly Metro) she once was the traffic reporter for 105.3. Reduce, re-use, recycle... everyone is going green these days.

So if I'm so against change, do you think Hal and Bill Kinder have no value to their stations? Why would i want to see either of them out of work? Carla's fine, i dont have a problem with her, except I know the idoits that fired her off KRLD did it when she was on maternaty leave. Now thats low. Dont get me started on that P.O.S.station.!!!

I'm sure the managers at KSCS would have loved to keep Kinder around. I'm sure he had value to them. I'm also sure that higher-ups at Citadel forced the local stations to make more cuts. Why would the PD just up and fire Kinder who's been nothing but successful his entire time there.
As for Hal? He's still on the air. If they were looking to cut his salary they'd have done it already don't you think? Citadel has shown no mercy in cutting top talent in other markets when they felt it was necessary to shed $$$.

I'm sorry I don't know where you get your information from but it is just dead wrong. Hal Jay is not trying to be forced out, he tried to quit not that long ago and they gave him MORE money to stay, please stop with you stupid theories and making suggestions on things you have no clue about.1963Rambler said:

I lived in DFW, well sort of...way out in Grayson County...when Carla Marion was let go. I quit listening to KRLD right then and there. I was probably their youngest listener as the ratings seem to indicate an AARP skewed listenership. I'm glad to see she's back on, I will have to stream WBAP to my iPhone now...I'm in Pittsburgh now and I miss the news format of KRLD. The stations here are not getting it done.
