NECN has its priorites messed up

NECN has its priorities screwed up. They interrupted pre-recorded coverage of the clean up and recovery efforts in Greater Springfield to cover a Breaking News Press Conference - "SHAQ is retiring from the NBA." Sorry. That is not breaking news. That doesn't even affect anyone. The tornadoes affected thousands. Besides. That's what Comcast Sports Net, NESN, and ESPN are for - nonsense like that.

The only relevance I see with that story is the fact that Shaq played in the Celtics during his final season. Other than that -- not much else. Besides, the retirement of a sports star is not "breaking" enough to warrant interruption -- save it for the sports segment.

Isn't there some irony that they interrupted PRE-RECORDED coverage of the tornado cleanup? Or maybe it's just my Friday afternoon perverted sense of humor?

Even less than that. 4:30 AM-10:00 AM; 12:00 PM-12:30 PM, 4:00 PM-4:30 PM, 5:00 PM-7:30 PM, 9:00 PM-10:00 PM

Yet, We still don't get NECN in Rhode Island......

You're not missing much.

x2. It was lightyears better about 10 years ago when it was still co-run with Hearst and the internet wasn't the place to turn for instant news. Now it's basically a worthless channel.
