Job Opening
While everybody else is firing. We're hiring. Clear Channel's KKXL-FM (XL93) Grand Forks is looking for a top notch prospect to join our Morning show. Our current female co-host is moving on after 5 years and we are looking for her replacement! Our staff & station has dominated the market for over a decade. If you are ready to contribute...email your demo & resume to [email protected] Clear Channel is an EOE.

Now that is FUNNY stuff!!! Does anyone else see the irony? Or stupidity?

bird!

I like this better.

Those caring nurturers at Clear Channel have kicked off a campaign to help average out-of-work listeners get jobs by offering them the chance to record a 30-second spot extolling their own awesomeness on the air to help them get new gigs. CC has thrown open the doors at 21 stations across America, asking the masses to bombard their websites and send in their resumes, with five lucky listeners picked every week to be touted on stations like KBIG (104.3 MYfm)/Los Angeles, WIHT (Hot 99.5)/DC, KKRW (93.7 The Arrow)/Houston, WHJY/Providence, KATZ-FM (100.3 The Beat)/St. Louis, WKDD/Akron, KZSN (Kissin' Country 102)/Wichita and WIOT/Toledo, among others. "We realize this is a difficult time for many individuals and families and want to support our listeners who are out of work in any way we can," said extremely helpful and caring President/CEO John Hogan. "Radio is all about community and serves as the perfect platform to connect job seekers with employers. We hope that job-seeking listeners will take advantage of this special opportunity."

Meanwhile, in homes across America, some 2,800 downsized Clear Channel employees are reading this and going "WTF?" We wonder aloud whether CC will allow some of these displaced former employees to audition for new gigs on their airwaves....

OMG! The irony in this is incredible! The hipocracy unrivaled! The working environments CC mgt creates are so fakey it would turn your stomach. Guess those poor suckers are just glad to have a job!
