Im running windows 7 and Winamp doesnt seem to work on it,, It favors itunes and opens it instead,,, Ive tried uninstalling Itunes and running only winamp, and it still wont o-pen.. But I need mp3 pro support to get the full fidelity from Wmph's stream.. id like to see wmph and Z88.9 get a 128k like KHNC, or even a 24k aac would be great.. these are my fav terrestrial stations in the U.S.... School stations seem to -program dance better than Comercial outlets... Still love Energy 98, IPR and the -precious european casters.

Running a 128k takes up a lot of bandwidth. Right now we have no intention of doing that. We are also in the process of starting a new internet station in the next month or so

School stations also don't care about Arbitron ratings since they don't live and die by the book like commercial stations do, and their program directors have free reign over the format.

Search Google for the MP3PRO plugin for Winamp.

I look forward to seeing a 24 hr dance station like the Z... It wouldnt have to be 128k,,, a 24k aac would be wonderful... Actually your current stream honestly sounds pretty good.. i shouldnt complain,,, at least its a feed. And Nick,, I cant use Winamp on windows 7,,, It wont open, thats why I posted this.. Im not sure id Jett audio would work or not, but I think they support mp3 pro,, problem is, they dont support aac...

Thats not completely true. We do care about our ratings. Not all commercial stations care about arbitron. As long as they are bringing in the revenue it really doesnt matter.

Its not just the music, but he voluntter and community involvment from people who honestly love and care about radio and dance music... Brett,, would I be too old to get a volunteer shiftf at any of these school stations, or is it only for students and admins...

It all depends on the radio station

Depending on what version of windows 7 you have, you should be able to run a virtual XP session and winamp will work correctly. I do no think AOL has come up with a version that works Nativity on windows 7 yet.
