Anyone have a used Star Guide III or know where I can buy a new one?

I've got a couple of fully loaded ones cheap too ...

two audio cards, ABC Netcue card, and EDAS card

There is a starguide 3 on broadcastminds.com for sale on the equipment for sale part of the site I think it was 800 or 900 dollars
 
The Starguide didn't last very long. I seem to recall the SEDAT receivers were around much longer.
 
The networks will move to the XDS and the similar Wegener by the end of this year. Purchasing a Starguide should be considered only for a short-term need.

ABC news has already converted to XDS.
 
Clear Channel Networks has indicated that they will continue to use Starguide for quite some time. Guess that's why the damn audio cards are $800 each...
 
ABC Music Radio didn't switch to the Starguides until 2000 if memory serves. Still about ten years, I guess.
 
Well, if Clear Channel is going to continue using them, I'll be able to make a few bucks next year by hanging on to the 6 units which will be surplussed in a few months. Now I can get that operation I've always wanted.!
 
We've already received our XDS receiver for Delilah (Premiere product), although no word on when the feed goes active. We've also received our XDS receiver for the two ABC Radio Net feeds we carry, they claim switchover by December. So a new Starguide would not appear to be a good investment at this time.

Since we have a combined site with 17 kw of FM only 190 feet above the studio roof, I am building an interface to get the triggers (aka net cues) into one studio. Even with chicken wire in the walls, long cable runs still irritate the computers.
 
Looks like this Friday the 31st is still the drop-dead day for CBS and WWOne programming on StarGuide!?! Got you "MAX" hooked up & programmed? Ahh , the "scheduler". Only 20 people in the WORLD can be setting up a MAX schedule at the same time.
