Need digital channel numbers (not PISP) for NYC TV

I'm on the phone with someone at a CATV head end who is going nuts right now as ducting has trashed all Hartford stations and he's getting stuff on all channels, mostly from NYC and though I think I know where most stations are going to be post-transition, I am not sure where they are right now at this second.

I know WCBS is on 33, but where is everyone else? I don't know of a good list for this.

www.rabbitears.info has all the channel info you seek.

Off the top of my head, pre-transition:

18 WMBC
22 WLIW
23 WFTY
24 WNYE
27 WTBY
28 WNBC
29 WFME
30 WPXN
33 WPIX
36 WNJU
38 WWOR
40 WXTV
42 WSAH
44 WNYW
45 WABC
48 WRNN
50 WEDW
51 WNJN
53 WFUT
56 WCBS
57 WLNY
61 WNET

Thanks, just what I needed and let me rephrase that.

He was having difficulty getting Hartford, but WAS getting them afterall, what he called me about was trying to find out which stations were coming in (the waveform monitor was showing something on nearly every UHF channel) and figured since I usually knew all the channels (I used to be good for these questions with analog, but digital I haven't quite memorized yet, as I didn't know WCBS wasn't on 33, but 56!) he was trying to see which ones were coming through so he could aim for them, just a little DTV DX thing. It was short-lived though, might happen again really soon though.

I wasn't getting anything special here in Middletown.

How is it that WPIX is on 33 DT and also in Hatford, CT WFSB is using 33 DT too. Is one going to move to a different number?

I believe 11, along with 7 and 13, will move back to their VHF frequencies after the analog shutoff.

Correct - but WCBS-DT then moves from 56 (which is out of core) to 33.

The northeast is horribly tightly spaced. For the moment, there's no good way around it.

If they really wanted to fix the short-spacing, it could be done. Actually, if you ask me, I think the WCBS-DT problem is easy.

The world would be a better place if Trip was making the allocations tables! :D

(BTW, Trip, I took a ride down to the WFBT-DT site this afternoon...it's most definitely not on the air, as I had sort of suspected. Drop me a line offlist and I'll fill you in on the details...)
