need help ID an unid 1360

Hi

Last night heard a Spanish preacher (or similar) on 1360 Khz. Any ideas? Signal was quite good too! Likely a North American station. Heard from here in Australia. Heard just after 0900 UTC

DXer 2_2000,

It's Chris in Florida. Could it be possible that you heard my local WKAT in North Miami? They run 5 kW day & 1 kW night, *non-directional*.

There is live streaming at www.1360wkat.com , so maybe at the same exact time on another weekday (maybe even weekend) you might hear that voice again. Do you have it on tape? (Even if you did, I could not really help you, but WKAT can verify or non-verify.)

[To the board: it has not been unusual at all for the OP to catch stations in Florida.....not at all!]

I was thinking it would be WKAT, since it appears to the only Spanish/Religion station on the 1360 frequency. That must be a heck of a good catch in Australia!

Make me wonder...has anyone in the USA have heard any Australian stations on AM? (No, I cannot have an outdoor wire antenna)

Salem operates KKMO in Tacoma, Washington which has a regional Mexican format, and it is possible that Salem runs spanish religious programs in the post midnight hours. One of our Washington posters might know the answer to that. The station is 5KW ND day and night.

Is it possible that you were hearing a Mexican or Central American station? I don't have my WRTH handy, but if I remember correctly, Radio Tic Tac is a Guatamalan religious broadcaster.
