need help w/ imaging

I am having a little trouble Perfecting my imaging, maybe someone can help me w/ the processing i need or steps or a different program.

I use the current version of cool edit, and what sound i am shooting for is the Alternative rock imaging style, similar too the voice on MTV's PUNK'D. if anyone can help me it be greatly appreciated, also if u can recomend a program that would work, thanks.

Compression on the VO then a high pass filter at 440 hz (Use the fft filter in Cool Edit Pro) then some limiting to beef it up.
