Need help with Aphex 2020 mk2

I am building a home radio studio with my son who is doing a media producer and dj education course. For that i bought a Aphex 2020mk2 from a auction site in my country. The Aphex was sold as "not working". Because i am a electronics engineer for a living (rework apple and dell mainboards) i would take the chance.

The 2020 powers on but the display has only a moving horizonal bar and no control function work. I did some preventive resolder work and replaced a few logic chips but no luck.
I'm almost certain that the bootrom is corrupt because of bitrot. It is an old device and it happens often with older eproms.

I tried to read the eprom many times. The read goes ok but the file is corrupt. Writing it to a clear eprom does not work.

I tried to contact Aphex but i get no answer email boxes are closed. I even tried to contact the designer of the software for the 2020 on linkedIn but until now no response.

My question is if somebody on this forum can help me and send me a dump of the bootrom (mk2 rev2). Maybe you have a not working 2020 and are willing to read the eprom or send me the chip. Maybe you know somebody who can help me. I would be very grateful.

I know it is an old device but i cannot afford a Optimod. Besides that i love the analog sound from back in the days and want to hear it in action very much.

Thank you for your help!

Thanks to the great help of Aphex / Rode support the 2020 is booting again. Absolutely great.
The eprom was indeed corrupt because of bitrot.

A tip for people who have vintage audio devices that work with firmware or bootsoftware:
Read the eprom when it is still working. Save the .bin file in a safe place.
Even if you don't use the still working device for a long time the eprom could get corrupt.
