I was just given a CD containing an audio track from a 1991 TV commercial. It is terrible quality, but the client wants to run it...

Would anyone have any advice as to how I can make the sound quality airable?? I have no clue how to fix this one...

Below is the link to the file...I appreciate any help or advice you may have.

hmm...well... if you're running on AA1.5 or higher, i'd do this:

1. select the noise at the end of the spot, click "noise reduction"...click "capture profile", once it does that, click "select entire file" and hit OK. that'll take care of the hiss.

2. then click hiss/pop reduction and try and get rid of the crackling.

3. since it's a little bottom heavy, i'd go into the scientific filter and drop off everything below 75 hz or something like that.

reel-to-reel spots don't really transfer well to digital, but that'll clean it up a little i think.
