NEED LOCATION OF WICE STUDIOS & TRANSMITTER IN 1962-1965

I looking for a probably easy, but accurate, answer to the following:

Where was WICE's (then 1290 AM) studios located during the time period January 1962 to January 1965?

Also, where was the transmitter location during the same time period?

If you notice that any response given is wrong, please chime in and correct it. Thanks.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think the WICE studios were in the Crown Hotel in downtown Providence .near what is not PPAC....transmitter was on Douglas Avenue.......I took this information from others as I didn't arrive in Providence until 1969.....but I did in 1965 send WICE a tape and resume...it was returned, never opened.

WICE 1290(now WRNI)indeed still has its transmitter off of Douglas Ave. I remember the studios being on Pine St.

The studio was on Dyer (sp?) Street -- same building as an ad agency, I believe. Maybe 198 Dyer? I was the part-time fill-in then ('64 - '67), but memories fade.......

WICE was in the Crown Hotel building next to the Outlet Company building in 1957. Then the station moved to Dyer Street.
Then to the RI Auditorium.
Then to Pawtucket (550)

OK, from the reponses thus far, it seems that the studios were on Dyer St (198?) during the period 1962-1965.

The transmitter during that same time period was on Douglas Avenue.

Does this seem correct to all that would know?

Yes. Why are you interested, if I might ask?

With the "street views" now available on Google maps, I just like to see where studios and transmitter sites were at the time some favorite DJs who worked at a particular station were there. :)
