Need manual for Gentner Silence Sensor

I recently acquired a Gentner Silence Sensor model 910-074-001, also known as a "VRC-100 Fail Safe" which is silk-screened on the circuit card. I need a copy of the manual or at the very least the table that explains how to set the internal DIP switches so I can connect it to the audio chain. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Was just curious to know...what exactly does this Silence Sensor do when attached and detecting silence? What action does it take?

Depending on what brand and model you have, it can do anything from trigger an alarm to sending contact closures. We had a Gentner unit rigged to send a contact closure to our automation PC, that would force it to the next event after about 6 seconds of silence. That unit eventually failed, due to age, and was replaced by a different unit that I don't recall the name of at the moment.

We also have a separate silence detector at the transmitter site, that will shut down the transmitter after three minutes of silence. This is a fail safe for something drastic, such as STL failure, etc.

OK folks, I got a manual - it seems that Burk Technology now produces the same unit formerly manufactured by Gentner. I've seen a few of these go on ebay recently on the cheap so here's a link to the manual should you happen to procue one yourself:

Wow, that's the same unit we have now.

It didn't work very well went set to a silence sense of less than 7 seconds. Songs like Car Wash from Rose Royce had enough silence in the intro, to fool the unit. We had to go with 15 seconds.
