Need Manual for LPB AM-5

Anyone have a manual or pdf of same?

Print is too small for me to read so it gets converted or used on my CCTV reader.

Thanks

A new twist is this:

1) LPB Sales indicated they would supply a crystal for the rig at $195.00.

2) I was told today (after 3 weeks) that the crystal is no longer available and any information was taken by previous tech employees. Since the schematics, manuals, etc, were "taken" they can't support the rig.

3) I asked the tech if this would be true of any item manufactured now and he replied, "yes, in 10 years.".

Now I find they will not supply the crystal or even speak about anything 10 years old.

Still looking for manual that might allow me to order a crystal elsewhere.

THANKS LPB!

Did you ACTUALLY speak to someone at LPB? Rumor has is they, "LPB", are out of business and are doing business under a different name (which was speculated as being related to them attempting to avoid creditors). I called them and only get a ringing phone.

I have a TX-20 (?) manual, which I don't know if it will help you. I can try to dig it up if it will help. The transmitter was from 1987 back when the station I engineered was using it for post-sunset power.

At this point anything is helpful. Do you have this in pdf? I can be emailed through pm.

I did speak to a salesperson after emailing a month ago. I got a call but not a returned email. There is an LPB site still if you google it.

I spoke with the gentleman who told me about the crystals being avaialble. Today I spoke with tech support. He indicates they are still selling new equipment but do not support any older gear.

Let me see what I can do about digging up that manual. If I find it I can probably scan some of the more important pages and make it a pdf file. It probably won't be until the end of the week when I get a chance to dig through storage to find it though.

I would expect the crystal to be fundamental frequency.
Shouldn't you be able to order a crystal from ICM in Oklahoma City?
You can specify oven or not, loading capacity, etc.

Course, there's all the other tuned circuits, so you do need eng info.

Makes me mad. I have to help support printing presses as old as customers care to have them.
Often this is 20 or more years, and support does become difficult.
But we at least try, as we seem to understand this may be what helps someone to buy a new Komori press.
We will make a reprint of a several-hundred page technical manual for $100.

I can't believe these guys won't SELL you a manual. Have you suggested they sell you a manual at
a ridiculously high price?
