Need Simple TX, that doesnt use a ground

Anyone have any suggestions on a good TX, that I can plug into my computer, to relay the online stream of Vibe Radio to a very small area. I only need a couple hundred feet of coverage, to reach the particular people im trying to reach. Any farther than that is useless, nothing but cornfields, unless its powerful enough to make it 2 miles down the road, into town, which would take alot more power, and money, and probably a ground system. Now, I cooked a perfectly good Rangemaster by improper Grounding, and improper Antenna tuning. So, im pretty much limited to a TX with a built in, or whip antenna, nothing that I have to ground to pipes, and I cant put up an outdoor antenna because my dad will b.itch....lol... Since part 15 fm is regulated by coverage, and not by power, could I use like 2 to 5 watts, with the antenna inside the house, and not elevated, and still be alright? I find 5 watt TXs on Ebay all the time, for like 60 bucks, but most dont have an antenna, My primary, and guaranteed listener is Chris, he lives accross the street, and likes to listen to online Dance Music stations, But cant usually get on the computer, cuz he shares the computer with about 5 or 6 other people. Im still unsure on whether to use AM or FM. I would kind of like to be the first station on the Vybe Radio to broadcast in stereo, and on FM.

A Ramsey FM25b will do what you want with it's internal whip :)

And would you be willing to part with your smoked rangemaster ????

A Talking House Part 15 AM transmitter with the built-in 3 meter flexible wire antenna would nicely fill your needs (200' - 300' or more range with no ground, set up indoors). They are constantly available on eBay. You can even record music on its built-in 5-minute, non-volatile flash memory. -- JasonW
