Need some information

Way back in 1977 or 78'? WNAP 93.1 did a week long sort of Futuristic format. It was really kind of novel, nobody had ever done that as far as I know but, the morning team was replaced by electronic voices that announced the spins and I don't remember commercials being played. Does anyone out there remember this on WNAP during that time?

I'm still wanting to hear about NAP but I thank you History, for the memories.....

Heh, the only thing that you'd here on the radio today is the TOH ID.

Wonder if Arbitron would get upset if the "Your Arb-1 requests that you listen" line were to run today. Probably.

Arbitron was not amused when ZPL ran promos asking people to watch their mailbox for their Armitron. The station mailed a few Armitron watches out with listener surveys in the mid 80s.

We did multiple wierd formats in the early 80's.

Futuristic, country, and others. We played some instrumental sci fi crap every hour with fake ads mixed with the current format. Our current music was called : oldies.

The only ENS Heller IDs I have are from before the re-sing. They sound awful. Never aired. Besides, I've been told that there are still some strictly enforced rights issues with Heller IDs.

So you're doing jingles for Wadesville? Best jingles ENS aired were from Joel's Lite Rock sing on "Hot Kiss." Wish I had a copy, but the master reel was lost at ENS in the 90s. Hey...would you or Randy Bell by chance have a dub or know where to find one for the Lite Rock sing on that package?

Who is Wally Wawro?

As "history" pointed out, Mr. Wawro is in DFW TV. Nice guy, too. Marty, why are you bringing disgrace to the legacy of WENS by reusing their material? You might as well hire all their former DJ's, too.

My opinion: Do it right, or don't do it at all.

Re: Need some information (abit more on Wally Warrow)

Wally worked for WCSI in the mid 70's, left there to go to WWWY (when it was 104.9 Columbus). From there he went to Dallas to work for Tom Merriman at TM Productions. He worked there for a long time and last I heard was working for WFAA-TV in Dallas (that was 2 or 3 years ago).
I'd bet he's still there.
