Neil Rogers and Bob Lassiter

That's a very interesting blog. I'd been reading it awhile ago - but then it seemed like he decided to stop doing it so I never went back. Now that I know it's back again I'll check it out more often.

Like Lassiter, I too happened to discover Neil on the air in Miami around '82. It was absolutely mesmirizing stuff and he got me hooked on the talk radio format. As Lassiter said, it was a golden age of sorts for talk radio - fascinating talk without the obsession with politics - and Neil was the cream of the crop. When Tom Leykis moved to Miami to air locally opposite Rogers, things really heated up. Talk about wanting to listen to two shows at once! I don't get the same kick out of Neil's shows anymore when I've heard them simulcast on the internet - but that could be because I haven't lived in Miami in decades and don't relate to his rants about things local.

But this is Tampa and here I am talking about Miami radio from back in the day...
