Neil Rogers' Estate

The perfect example of "you can't take it with you." Good for him. He used as much of his $$ while he was alive and (hopefully) left little for everyone to fight over. I mean, it's not like he had kids or anything to leave it all to.

He "blew" his money on Paco...
;D ;D

Love It! "Boy, you sure sound like some stupid, idiotic jerk!"

Isn't posting disrespectfully of Neil-God a TOS violation ???
Mohammad Ali was the greatest, but Neil was also...!

I still can't believe Neil is gone. I've been listening to old shows from 2007 that Mr Radio posted and it's sad to see someone so valuable be sent to an early grave.

Anyway it sucks Jorge didn't see any of the money and too bad all the wrong people got a piece of it. Neil did throw away a lot of money at Woodbine. Wonder how many thousands he donated to them.

I really miss Neil, too. He would make me laugh so much. Those were great years - the 80's and beyond. But it seemed Neil didn't care about much when he was basically shown the door by management. Wonder what was up with not paying the IRS those last few years. Did he really think that he wasn't destined to live many more years and just say the hell with paying the taxes? He was obviously very ill towards the last few months. I know he didn't believe in a so called afterlife - but if there is one, I hope he is at peace now.

I don't think Uncle Neil owed Jorge anything. If it wasn't for Neil, no one would have heard of him. And what happened to Jorge anyway? Is he still doing internet radio ?

Neil didn't owe Jorge anything but it sucks he probably left a fortune to Paco. How did Neil ever end up meeting Paco and becoming his guardian?

Also notice Neilrogers.com was taken down. I guess whoever owned the site decided to let it go. I really think the material Neil left behind has not been used well. They should have a site up and running with his old shows. Someone at WQAM must have everything saved since they started posting the mp3s on the site. Neil was a legend, it would be a shame if nobody saved that stuff.

I emailed Jorge a few times and he never replied. He comes off as someone who hates the listeners and he hates it when people want to talk to him about Neil. He sorta seems jealous to be honest.

Oh and to the person who asked about Jorge's show, I think he still does it but only on Fridays. It's hard to have an internet show or podcast that is successful but I never really thought Jorge was good as a host to be honest. One mistake of his is charges now $.99 to download each show.

Well at $ .99, he can at least eat off the Dollar Menu at Mickey D's but probably not too often. I agree also that Jorge had an attitude and I thought he had marginal talent at best. Since he didn't land a regular job, apparently those in the know agree.
