NEIL ROGERS...NO TO SATELLITE & SHAWN KING!

I spoke to WQAM's NEIL ROGERS yesterday. I asked him any chance WQAM would let him air on one of the satellite networks. Neil said no!

Also, I asked him any chance he would play a tune from SHAWN KING (LARRY KING's 7th wife).....no way! I see EXTRATV.COM has a video of Shawn showing off their house on EXTRA. Just type in "Larry King House" and the video pops up. It's kind of funny.

Neil is classic! I would love to hear him on satellite radio. I guess us New Yorkers will have to settle for the QAM live stream. Thank God for the live stream.

For what he makes, he'd better be.

Neil was great on WAMI, Channel 69!

Neil is one of a kind. Out of the 20 times he put me "On the Air", he only hung up on me once, and that was for mentioning Rod Stewart. Then he continued references to Rod Stewart for the rest of the Day. His Best of Show, (Similar to E's Howard Stern show) which aired on the ONLY Commercial English Independent UHF Station in Miami was a kick. Then they got rid of Neil, and went Spanish. This is not Fair, Viva Neil!

Anyone have old tapes of Neil's Channel 69 show, I would love to see them sometime.

Need more info on his TV show!

Could you please give me more info on his TV show. When did it air? How long was the show? How did it do in the ratings? Thanks.

more info

Maybe I could defer some of these answers to my great new Friend 954? I moved to Miami in 6/98, and from what I just read at Neil's site, 11/04/98 was the last taping. I'm almost sure it was a half Hour, the best of that day's (or the previous day's) Radio Show on WQAM. WAMI was owned by Barry Dillard, and now it's 100% Spanish, with a logo at the bottom that looks like the Communicator Com Badge from Star Trek!

I still have some WAMI Tapes, however with the Three Stooges. Neil did remind me of Moe though :)

No Moe.

I watched part of Neil's TV show ones. Like they say, Neil Rogers has a good face for radio.

He's like Howard Stern, except not as couth or as good looking.

Neil's TV show was mentioned here: http://www.univox.com/radio/1998nov.html
