NESN National?

I have NESN national as part of my sports package from Bright House in Tampa Bay.

They feed everything except for live Bruins and Red Sox games due to contractual obligations to the NHL and MLB.

From what I understand, NESN National/NESN+ is part of Comcast's "barebones basic" package, alongside the local stations, shopping and religious networks, even though NESN isn't included. I write this because somebody I know recently downgraded to this package and noted the incluson of this channel on the lineup.

which means will it disappear once the bruins are out of the playoffs, or is it a ploy to have people with just the basic cable be able to watch the games this year???

Which are pretty much the only reasons why I'd be interested in having NESN. Watching NESN without 'Sox and Bruins games is like visiting a lobster shack that has no seafood. Why bother?

Last year NESN+ popped up on my COX cable system briefly during the spring. NESN+ aired early season Sox games when they overlapped with Bruins games. Maybe the feed for the OP's sytem got mixed up?

DirecTV (in Maine) has NESN on its' regular lineup (Ch. 628) and if the Bruins the Red Sox are playing at the same time, NESN+ (629) carries the game (either Bruins or Red Sox), both in HD.
