Yeah, when the Big O signed his last contract, part of the release described how they were expanding the platform beyond just radio, talked about simulcasting.

The haters will be out in force on all the message boards, screaming racist. I've read the transcript of the METCO incident several times and I still don't see how it was racist. It's easy to call somebody a racist and as soon as you do, the people who dislike them for other(political) reasons take up the chant. They can be jerks, especially Callahan, but I've always thought that this was a bum rap.

It's a interesting move because it may keep the duo on sports and not guns and gays. But who knows maybe NESN doesn't care about content?
I think Ordway's show would have been the better drive time choice but NESN probably wants to go with their own programming.

Will these telecasts be on a 30-second or possibly LONGER delay, considering the personnel involved?
These idiots don't have the smarts nor the appeal to be a Boston version of ESPN's Mike & Mike. That's clearly their objective, but it will fail. The people who severely dislike these clowns won't tune in, and the fact that there are TV cameras involved doesn't help make D&C's bombastic material any more appealing. D&C are prototypical media hacks, which means they care very much what's being read and said about them. Which means they'll prowl this message thread and see my response.
The best thing to ever happen to WEEI was the debut of 98.5. Media hacks are media hacks, and they all share annoying traits. But the worst sin of all is to place idiotic 'talent' on a peanut-whistle AM signal and then somehow hope that candy will fall from the sky. The fact that it isn't falling from the sky is the reason why WEEI and NESN are trying to scratch each other's back with this lunatic idea.

Francesa is on YES, and with B&C's deal with MSG, I wonder how long it will be until WFAN's midday show is simulcast on SNY. Then, CBS might as well have a robotic camera on WFAN's studio 24/7 and air it on a subchannel of WCBS-TV. Of course, this is a growing trend in sports radio. One of the local sports radio morning shows in Houston has recently struck a similar deal, as well.

It's either amazing or amusing, how much the sports cable model has changed. Up until the "Boomer & Carton" deal, MSG aired its own "Sportsdesk" on a loop throughout the morning. I believe SNY still does this with their "SportsNite" show, however. Anyone remember the old NewSport channel? They used to air a half-hour sports update program round-the-clock (think Headline News for bettors).
