Don't know if anyone caught Sportsdesk last night or this morning, but a guy by the name of John Chandler was on and he was excellent.

I'm a guy and love Hazel Mae and Kathryn Tappen but yet don't understand why NESN don't give guys equal oppurtunity. (Yes I realize females will boost the ratings) ...but Eric Frede was great on Red Sox reporting, they knocked him down to Cervasio - then he was good at Bruins coverage and they knocked him down some more for Tappen. I also thought Mike Perlow was good, but yet he got booted for Tappen...so why does NESN let good talent go like this?
 
Frede stopped Sox reporting because he became the Bruin's studio host. No real surprise there, thats effectively a promotion.
 
Thought I read somewhere that Eric Frede technically is not a NESN employee but a heavily-used freelancer. Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Reading his bio at nesn.com seems to tell me he is in fact employed by the network.
