Netbook for remote use

Any suggestions/advice/recommendations on any brand of netbook to buy for light remote/recording field duty?
We have 3G wireless access plus hardwire broadband in some locations...
thanks

bob

We use a Dell for wireless remotes via Skype--but use an outboard Alesis USB mixer for the audio.
The question is not the brand of netbook, but how good the on-board sound card or circuit built in to the motherboard. Usually they are not very good. On the other hand, if you use a USB device to feed the netbook then the main concern is the amount of RAM & storage capacity of the hard drive in the netbook.

No different then with any other computer.

I have a Dell laptop with XP Pro OS, 1GB ram, and 80GB hard drive that I'm thinking of using a Tapco USB Link with that's been on the shelf for a few years...
Latency is a bit of an issue regarding game broadcasts if your guy is not good with a clock...
As for the recording side, I'm been using the NCH RecordPad software....
I haven't played with the Skype software and the 3G GSM wireless modem combination together yet...
A year or so ago, I couldn't get it to work with the 3G modem setup at the time....CDMA in nature....
I've always suspected cell companies don't like you to use Skype with their 3G data service device...
