Netflix will remain ad-free

Netflix has dismissed reports that it is preparing to launch third party adverts on its streaming service. The firm confirmed that it is testing pre-roll and post-roll teasers for its original content as part of a limited trial, but product ads will not be interrupting user’s viewing any time soon.

“We are not planning to test or implement third-party advertising on the Netflix service. For some time, we’ve teased Netflix originals with short trailers after a member finishes watching a show,” a Netflix spokesperson told media website Mashable.

I don't think anyone believes Netflix will remain ad-free long term, which is why these rumors that pop up every so often get legs.

I'd rather have cost-free and watch ads.

I'm referring to TV episodes currently available only through Netflix.

Crackle would be good for you, but the only thing that don't have full seasons or the complete series of many of the shows they have rights to. For example, right now they only season six of "Married...with Children", season three of "All in the Family", and season two of "The Jeffersons". They also have selected "Seinfeld" episodes, but Hulu will have exclusive streaming rights to the entire series starting June 24.

And then I'd have to be at the library anyway.

Just getting to TiVo's web site, never mind trying to watch video, took ages this afternoon.
