Network news programs airing at different times in Boston and Providence

I've noticed that every day, there is at least one network news program that airs at a different time of day in Providence than it does in Boston. And over the course of a week, this happens at least once across all four major broadcast networks!

Weekdays (Monday through Friday):
  • NBC: WBTS airs Today with Hoda and Jenna from 10-11 AM, then airs NBC News Daily from 12-1 PM. WJAR, meanwhile, airs the 4th hour of the Today show from 11-12 PM, and NBC News Daily from 1-2 PM.
Saturdays:
  • ABC: WCVB airs Good Morning America's 1st hour from 7-8 AM, while WLNE airs it from 8-9 AM.
  • CBS: WPRI airs CBS Saturday Morning from 8-10 AM, while WBZ airs it from 9-11 AM.
Sundays:
  • ABC: WCVB airs Good Morning America from 7-8 AM, while WLNE airs it from 8-9 AM.
  • ABC: WLNE airs ABC World News Tonight from 6-6:30 PM (a half hour earlier than other nights of the week), while WCVB airs it from 6:30-7 PM.
  • NBC: WJAR airs Meet the Press from 10-11 AM, while WBTS airs it from 10:30-11:30 AM.
  • FOX: WNAC airs Fox News Sunday from 9-10 AM, while WFXT airs it from 10-11 AM.
Is there a reason why the air times are inconsistent between the 2 markets, especially on Sundays where 3 Providence stations air network content ahead of their Boston counterparts? Given how WBTS isn't on cable in areas like Mansfield and Easton, this actually matters for those hoping to catch one of these programs.

There's more news on TV schedules in Boston compared to Providence. It makes sense since Boston's a bigger market (#9) than Providence (#51) and has more TV stations that air news (10 - WBZ, WCVB, WCVB2, WHDH, WMUR, WMUR2, WBTS, WFXT, WSBK, WLVI) compared to Providence (just 5 - WLNE, WJAR, WJAR2, WPRI, WNAC).
