Network reruns on PBS (besides Lawrence Welk)

KTVO ch 3 Kirksville MO / Ottumwa IA was another station running Sesame Street in that time period around 1973. Iowa Public Television's signals back then didn't cover southeast Iowa very well, and there was no PBS at all in northeast Missouri.

That's still the case for the Missouri side of the market, no PBS except for cable and satellite. Once a person travels about 40 miles west of Kirksville, there is no OTA TV at all. Not even translators.

Just recently, PBA 30 (WPBA, the other PBS station here in Atlanta) started airing Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Saturday nights.

I think that MST3K must have gone into the public domain recently. It's showing up on several Roku channels that run PD movies and TV shows, along with being on RTV.

I'm Surprised that no one mention KBYU, they have aired Little House and Brady Bunch in the past, and now are airing Partridge Family

Three PBS stations that I know of have run the original Outer Limits: WOSU in Columbus, KTEH in San Jose and KIXE in Redding, California. KTEH also ran The Invaders as part of a Sunday night sci-fi lineup that included Doctor Who, Blake's Seven and The Prisoner.

I believe WVIA in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre also ran the original Outer Limits. They also ran episodes of many other older shows, including Twilight Zone, Star Trek, I Love Lucy, Burns and Allen, Honeymooners, Lost in Space, and even Betty Boop cartoons.

Speaking of MST3K...Netflix has just recently revived it with Jonah Ray, Felicia Day, and Patton Oswalt!

When I lived in Michigan in the late 80's WKAR in East Lansing was running The Prisoner.

A few years later I had returned to Pittsburgh where WQEX was running The White Shadow
in addition to an afternoon bloc of "Britcoms".

In the early-to-mid 80's WQED had a daily late-night rebroadcast of ABC World News Tonight
with captions for the deaf. This went away after sets equipped with closed caption decoders
became more common.

The 'Captioned ABC News' was fed by PBS, so practically every member aired it besides a seldom few.
