PAMAL ADDS ONE IN ADIRONDACKS, PLACES SIX IN TRUST

James Morrell's Pamal Broadcasting has excercised its option to purchase longtime AC WNYQ, which serves the Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs area to the north of Albany, NY, from Vox Media Corp. for $5.25 million. Pamal owns 20 other stations, including four FMs in Albany and WROW-AM/Albany.
Additionally, Pamal's six stations in the Glens Falls area reach much of the Albany market, and as a result the company has placed those stations- WZMR-FM/Altamont, WFFG-FM/Corinth, WMML-AM/Glens Falls, WENU-FM Hudson Falls, WENU-AM/South Glens Falls and WKBE-FM/Warrensburg-in the independently administered Glens Falls Trust, headed by Mark Hubbard. Pamal's other stations in the region are located in Upstate New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. The company also owns WMEZ & WXBM/Pensacola, FL.

Interesting that WZMR ends up in the trust along with the Glens Falls stations. Then again, it was necessary considering WNYQ is now an Albany-market station.
