...Never got a dinner!

If you heard Mel Simon's grand return to the Steve "Lazarus" Leveille show last night on WBZ you heard
them play an excerpt from an old Dean Martin celeb roast. Yes, the answer was indeed Red Buttons,
doing one of his classic "Never Had A Dinner" routines. Remember which Boston radio personality
used to always say that? Even though toward the end of his life he actually DID get a dinner?
I'm sure 90 per cent of us know the answer, but first:

------------------(We're giving a dinner to this fine person tonight, but did you know many great
people in history and in our own time...never got a dinner!)
Orson Welles, who said to Anita Bryant, "Stop picketing me! What I said was 'I am a thespian!' Never got a dinner.
George W. Bush, who said to Pope John Paul II, "Give us a visit, and bring the missus." Never got a dinner!
Telly Savalas, who said, I'd give anything just to have some dandruff! Never got a dinner!*

*--MANY more at http://www.leonardociampa.com/RedButtons.html

OK, here's the answer. Now Irving, can you get camera three on here? I'm going to get out of the
business...someday. Jerry Williams--NEVER GOT A DINNER! OK, actually he did...
