NEW 1 VS. 100 ON GSN

If you enjoyed the old show, you'll like the new one. Many thought the old one went away too soon, thanks GSN.

The new lady host is great. The set and audience are a bit smaller, and the MOB is via 100 monitors, other than that and the $50,000 prize it's much the same show. It's great that someone is doing something for game shows while the networks have all turned their backs once again. Another hit for GSN.

The "new lady host" you speak of is Carrie Ann Inaba, of Dancing with the Stars. Have not had much of an opportunity to watch, but I do like the fact that the show carries over from one night to the next, instead of a new contestant for every show. I think this is what sent the half-hour Deal or No Deal (which follows 1 vs. 100) to an early grave.

People didn't watch because it didn't have returning players? Perhaps it was because a game consisting of randomly picking numbers had a nice run and then simply didn't hold people's attention anymore.

GSN should use 1 vs 100 to their FULLEST advantage!
The mob should consist of as many people as they can round up from other game shows on GSN to give tons of free plug for the station.

I think it's working for them. I stayed around the other night and even watched LINGO, which
follows 1 vs. 100, and I'm not that crazy about LINGO.

They've got CATCH 21, BAGGAGE and now 1 VS. 100. If they could just find a replacement
for the NEWLEYWED GAME, they'd almost have a new prime time block going there.

It's the NEW NEWLYWED GAME. I really don't care for it, but probably some 25+ female might like it.

IIRC they're new ones, The View's Sherri Shepherd took over Newlywed from Carnie Wilson this season.

I havn't even seen the ones with Carrie Wilson because I was too cheap to pay extra for the channel. They took it out of one of the cable packages I had and started billing extra for it.
With 1 vs 100 I might actually order the channel!
