New 105.7 Calls

They're WBWR.

Nothing wrong with the new calls per se, but they don't look anything like "Brew" unless read dyslexically. Of course, WFJX didn't represent how you would say "Fox", unless perhaps you had a weird sneeze going at the same time. The original, 1997 Fox at 105.7 had nice, clean calls -- WKFX.

BTW, I notice that Mediabase has pegged the Brew as having the same format as Ted-FM, namely "Variety Rock". So if you go by their classifications, Columbus has two Variety Rock stations and two Oldies stations (WODB and WLZT).

Another stupid thought: Maybe this change has been secretly planned for years. Remember how former Fox 7-Midnight jock Joe Kelly would end every program by saying "I bid you adieu as I head out the door for an icy cold BREW"? This time the whole station bid us adieu for a Brew. Pretty Foxy, no?
