New 1330 am Proterville

There's a new CP for 94.5 in Coarsegold, which could be a problem for 94.3 KOKO in Kerman.

Yea, look at all the AM applications in California!
Is the economy quietly awakening?
Speculation? Looking for an investment?

File an application, unload a C.P.!
That's what I call serious involvement in the industry.
Good for the economy & the public too!

Does anyone know where "Proterville" is ???

These applications are the result of an AM filing window a few years ago. The FCC is finally approving some CPs...(many of these are based on auctions). These stations have nothing to do with today's economy. In fact, the current economy and the slow death of AM will make success of these new stations challenging.

Porterville is south of Visalia in the San Joaquin Valley.

Sorry, just being "funny" about "Proterville" aka Porterville.
I know where it is, it's where Kent Hopper lives!

It's been many moons since the KWIP days. Worked with the 'ol boy then. What a character. Watch your wallet! :p

No harm meant.
