New 6ABC studios: When will the station move to the new building?

Can anyone tell me as to a possible month and/or date as to when will 6ABC WPVI move to its new studios?

"A groundbreaking ceremony for a new WPVI studio/headquarters building, directly behind the current studio on ground bought from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, was held on June 12, 2007, with completion of the new studios due for spring of 2009."

Yeah, spring 2009 was the date set back when they started, however with spring just a few months away, it doesn't look like they're close to moving yet. I would guess this fall is a more realistic estimate.

Update:

Drove by the station the other day and noted a few things.

The building looks basically done. They even have the landscaping with flowers and bushes around the building done. It looks like some parts of 6abc have already moved over to the new building as it appeared to have offices already in use. The parking garage also appears to be open. Since construction began parking was restricted to the city line ave entrance, but while leaving I didn't see a security guard there anymore.

So overall I think the building is just about complete for regular office use, but since ch6 hasn't said a word yet. My guess is the new studio for action news, and all the master controls still needs to be built, which could mean the official move (onair) is still months away.

They posted pictures of a visit to the new building online. Some staff is moving over already, and the news operation will go closer to the end of the year

3 has moved. 6 is moving. 1060 has moved. 610 moved +/- 20 years ago. The broadcasting addresses I grew up with are fast fading away. :( Does 10 have plans to move?

10 doesn't have the money (I should say NBC, since 10 alone makes enough to support itself as state of art) to build a new station. It took them forever to pony up the cash to go HD.

With that said however with the subtraction of wogl, and 1210 from the building a few years ago, nbc10 has more then enough space for their operations. They probably wouldn't mind a bigger studio, but other then that the station hasn't outgrown the building like 6abc (which hasn't seen any expansion since wfil left) has, and like KYW did.

Hard to believe the WCAU studio was built in 1952. It still looks somewhat modern today. It's so big, I can't imagine they would ever outgrow it.

WIFI 92 was at WPVI? How long did the station now known as WTXU stayed at PVI before moving?
