New '90s station in Fort Wayne, IN

Check this out... a new '90s-based station in Fort Wayne.

I had the pleasure of listening to the station when I was passing through the Fort Wayne area last week on Friday evening (April 5), and I have to say it is incredible. It's a lot like a Rhythmic AC station, playing lots of dance hits from the '90s. Here are the songs I got to hear when I passed through:

Backstreet Boys - "I'll Never Break Your Heart"
Mariah Carey - "Emotions"
Shaggy - "Boombastic"
Christina Aguilera - "Genie in a Bottle"
Salt 'N Pepa - "Let's Talk About Sex"
Robin S. - "Show Me Love"
Color Me Badd - "I Wanna Sex You Up"
Savage Garden - "I Knew I Loved You"
Janet Jackson - "Escapade"
Usher - "Nice & Slow"
Britney Spears - "I'm A Slave 4 U"
Culture Beat - "Mr. Vain"
Nelly - "Country Grammar"
After 7 - "Ready Or Not"

The station is too good to be true. I won't last long. :(

The songs do look cool but going off of the number of 90s stations that have cropped up (and then gone away) in recent years, this type of format is probably an easy sell to a station owner, but in reality the demo doesn't seem to want to hear ONLY 90s material. That's why an 80s/90s presentation, a pure Adult Hits format or a Hot AC that blends in 90s to now are potentially better long-term choices, not the narrow 10-year window.

Yeah, it's got a few tracks from 2000/2001 and I expect the format to stretch to at least 2007 or so just because that's where the few remnants of the format have gone.
