Radio and Records reports that thier alt editor and former 91X PD Kevin Stapleford will return to 91X when it changes hands. I wonder how Mike Halloran feels about that?

Anybody is better than that corporate drone robot Jim Richards. He has bigger problems at the moment to take care of. Now he can go back to wearing NASCAR t shirts and work boots instead of trying to be "alternative". poser

Come on, you know Jim was under a LOT of pressure! Cut him some slack. First time I've heard him called a drone!

Screw that! The guy's an idiot. He had NO business programming that station like a Top40. He singlehandedly destroyed a heritage radio station. So glad it's out of his hands.

Hey, speakin' of "Nine-ty One, X,"
Anyone heard from Billy Bones lately? I remember he used to come in overnight and do production during his shift (while he harassed me, LOL)
He was a pretty cool guy to have around!

He had to try something new for the station, he did the best he could under the circumstances. I don't think you can really say he destroyed the station, it's not like a bomb went off there. It's unfortunate that his programming didn't work out, but what does in this market these days? Pretty soon they'll all be preprogrammed and computer driven to the extreme I guess.

I'll bet Halloran is looking forward to the competition. He is a scrapper and has done a brilliant job of positioning 91X as the corporate monster.
It will be hard for 91X to shake that image. After all, they ARE the corporate monster.

It was clear this weekend at Street Scene that 94.9 has the street cred wrapped up. 91X ers were looking sad and lonely.
