New 92 Goof up

Anyone listen to New 92 Monday am between 8:00 and 8:15 ? Heard new guy play two songs then talked about his weekend something about Williams Brice Stadium, then took a listener call and played their song. I stopped and got a quick breakfast, returned to my car and heard one of the songs they previously played before I got breakfast. Next......it was the Williams Brice bit and the caller again for the song again. If the average listener knew nothing about shows being voice traced and pre planned.....they definitly do now! Like my Grandad said when he was alive...You can fool all of the people sometimes, but you can't fool some of the people all the time. I see the future of FM radio dying out like AM has. The public will eventually get tired of it. Maybe then personality will find it's way back in.

I think a sales person is doing the morning shift on New 92. I think the future is not AM or FM radio....internet is the future.

It makes me wonder still what if any real changes we are going to see there. I wonder still if either changing the format or just putting it out on the bird would help them. They have never been a serious threat to WCOS and rankly the Morning rush is a bore and I could swear that other than him and Tumbleweed talking, it is tracked too.

I seriously don't think they WANT to be a threat to COS! Look at the decisions they make! It's like they just want to collect a paycheck while the station rolls over and dies! Seriously. if you don't want to do good radio, go sell cars!

No one is collecting a paycheck. That's the problem. They put all their money in Jeff Roper and it didn't work out, for whatever reason. I have no idea how they are staying on the air.

Actually I was talking more about management getting the paycheck but you make a good point. They're not giving the listener a product that they want to listen to and the roper deal was idiotic at best.

There is only one person over there that knows anything about radio...now and then...and nobody listens to him. PD interview today...hopefully sales and management interviews coming.
