New ABC6 Promo

I posted negative comments here a few months ago regarding ABC 6's promos that featured Walter Cryan talking about how Wendy Cicchetti and John Deluca deserved to be the 6pm anchors, though they'd lost their jobs to him. I felt badly about the comments afterward because I truly don't like to post negative comments. However; I saw a NEW Promo yesterday that began with talk of how ABC 6 News features an attractive young news team combined with a veteran news anchor. Does this strike anyone as odd, or stupid? To say "we're pretty, and we have a guy that does news"?

Six is looking for any angle to get people to watch. I'll agree that they do have very attractive reporters. However anything short of hiring girls from Hooters is not going to make a difference.

I saw this same promo and I thought it was great. I think you got too caught up with the attractive part. The promo was showcasing the philosophy of ABC 6. Walter Cryan is the focal point and he is surrounded by young anchors and reporters who are moving up in the business and are striving to be successful. I don't think they meant attractive as good looking, but rather as attractive from the standpoint of their hard work ethic.
