WJBR Names Steve West For Afternoons
BEASLEY AC WJBR/WILMINGTON, DE names WAFL (EAGLE 97)/MILFORD, DE morning host STEVE WEST for afternoons. Current afternoon host PAUL LEWIS morphs into Production Director.

Mods: Please move this thread to the Delaware board. WJBR is a Delaware station. It's not a Philadelphia station. Let's stay on track here, by posting messages on the correct board. Thanks.

Other users have made a compelling argument to restore this thread back to the Philly boards, so in response I am complying with their request.

I understand Shawn O'Domski's rationale, but again the arguments to keep it on the Philly board cannot be ignored.

Thanks to everyone for their input

I understand where Mr. Managing Editor is coming from, and I respect his decision. However, I feel this is just another reason to let Julius do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and be immune to following the rules here. I don't care how handicapped he is. There are rules here, and they need to be followed. People have jumped down my throat for allegedly breaking rules (aka "picking on Julius"). There is a Delaware board for discussion of Delaware radio stations. WJBR is a Delaware station. Just because Beasley bought the station, doesn't make it a Philadelphia station.

Shawn...I understand where you're coming from, but this wasn't a case of letting any one user have their way. The argument that persuaded me to return this thread to the Philly board was a gentle reminder from Ray Dio,who reminded me that the board is "for discussion of radio in Philadelphia, Trenton and Wilmington".

In this case, I don't think you were picking on another user. You have an honest disagreement but it's not like discussion of WJBR has NOTHING to do with the Philadelphia market. It's one of those topics that straddles the line and there's merit to both sides. Radio-Info parts company with you on this issue. We need to agree to disagree and not have anyone make this another flamefest on something that is essentially trivial in the end. Let's all just move on and get past the small stuff.

Let's talk about radio...

Managing Editor: I understand your arguments and points...very well taken by me. Ray Dio makes a good point as well. I still feel Delaware stations should be discussed on the proper board. Since we are now discussing Delaware stations on this board, then WILM should be discussed here...WSTW should be discussed here...WDEL should be discussed here, etc. WILM, WSTW, and WDEL can be heard within the City of Philadelphia. Perhaps the Delaware board should be shut down since we are to discuss Delaware stations on the Philadelphia board (ah lah the old Radio-Info).

I think that there are plenty of Delaware stations that cannot be heard in Philly, and perhaps should not be discussed here.

WJBR's signal and WSTW's signal cover the Philly area well and can be heard as clearly as the Philly stations, so why not include them in discussions here.

Lets get back to the topic and talk about the new jock on WJBR-FM.
