New AM Log (Graveyard) 9/1/2011

Picked up a new AM log on 1240 tonight. Interesting since I've logged about nine or ten already on the frequency.

1240: KCVL Colville, WA: Good signal on top of the GY slop with C&W music (sat-fed) band ID "Your Kind of Country, AM 1240 KCVL".
Distance is 209 miles.

Also heard: KSTP 1500, CFSL 1190 under KEX and relog GYer CKGR-1400 Golden BC.

Sure are at the moment. Watch in late fall, I might get KWIK once again!

I haven't paid nearly as much attention to graveyard frequencies as I should be.

When you think of it, 200 mile reception of a graveyard station is like 1000 mile reception of a standard 5 kw station.

It used to be tough for me to dig through the noise, but with a good antenna & headphones should help.
