Heard what was most likely KVVD out of Peralta on 1100 this morning. I did not stay around long enough to get a full ID but unless there was some real DX going on, it had to be KVVD.
 
Where are you located, and what time was it? Possibly KFNX Phoenix, which runs 50 kW daytime.
 
Interesting that Don Davis filed objections against the original owner of the permit, Brett huggins and don Davis now owns it
 
I checked 1100 and nothing was on this afternoon. However the CP expires in 10 days so he may need to hurry and file for a license very soon. Is KEMR 1080 on yet? All I could pick up there was some of the rock music from KTBL.
 
Out in Aedgewood. So everything except KKOB comes in marginally. Could have been Grand Junction (KNZZ) on 50kw. Haven't heard anything on the channel since. KEMR is NOT on. Except for one testing session under the CP the AM and the translator ave been totally silent. Licensed in October. I suspect an STA is long overdue.
 
I checked 1100 after dark to see what comes on and KNZZ out of Grand Junction totally takes over that frequency at night. They power down to 10,000 watts at night while KFNX in Phoenix drops to 1,000 watts so it does not likely go out this far. KRLD out of Dallas really comes in on 1080 at night but of course KEMR and KVVD are to be daytime only operations.
 
Let's round out the trifecta.

93.7 translator in Albuquerque. Lat time I looked there was nothing there. Per FCC "...Special Temporary Authority is granted to permit Station K229CL to remain silent not to exceed 180 days from the date of this letter. Notwithstanding
the grant of this Special Temporary Authority, the broadcast license for Station K229CL will
automatically expire as a matter of law if broadcast operations do not resume by 12:01 a.m.,
January 2, 2022." Actually the letter was dated March 11 so technically STA expired in September.

KEMR, Moriarty, has been licensed since October. Not a peep out of them in the two months I have been tuning by the frequency.
 
Actually, another STA was recently filed for K229CL claiming they need the FCC to approve the transfer of license to the attorney for the owner's estate before it can be put back on the air. It also states that it went dark on February 1 so they may be trying to buy an extra month if the FCC actually buys it. Of course, the bottom of the form reads: "WILLFUL FALSE STATEMENTS ON THIS FORM ARE PUNISHABLE BY FINE AND/OR IMPRISONMENT (U.S. CODE, TITLE 18, SECTION 1001), AND/OR REVOCATION OF ANY STATION LICENSE OR CONSTRUCTION PERMIT (U.S. CODE, TITLE 47, SECTION 312(a)(1)), AND/OR FORFEITURE (U.S. CODE, TITLE 47, SECTION 503)." They bought themselves an extra month since the STA was from the date of the letter which was 11 March. I will have to go looking for the new STA. Nothing in the FCC database before I posted yesterday.
